Napping

Feeling tired!? Then, go to sleep. We all know that when we are tired, we go to sleep. However, don't you ever have times where you are tired, but can't since you are busy? Well, if you do, welcome to my fourth blog post which is about napping.

Do this
There are three types of napping which are defined on how and when nap:

Planned napping: Planned napping is when you decide to nap before you are even sleepy. This type of nap is used when someone wants to rest before doing something later, like taking a quick nap before your exam later.

Emergency napping: Emergency napping happens when you are suddenly tired and can't stay awake.
Tired

Habitual napping: Habitual napping is when someone takes a nap at the same time every day. It is basically is the name, ``Habit.``

It is recommended to nap for 20-30 minutes every day.

In the past, sleeping on the job was considered a taboo. But now, many companies are encouraging their employees to nap. Now they are making sense. If they actually looked at their employees, they will see how most of them are tired by seeing how most of them drink coffee. If you are going to work all tired, you won't be happy while doing your work, right!? If you take a POWER nap, all that can go away. A power nap is taking a nap when you did not have enough sleep time. It is designed to be around 10-15 minutes so the sleeper won't get past sleep stage I and II. After sleep stage II, you are now in deep sleep. If you wake up from a deep sleep while napping, you will wake up all groggy and even more sleepy than before. I know this feeling all too well.
''If I don't get my naps, I get cranky and unfocused by the end of a week of short nights'', Wilde says. ''For me, that nap helps bring back my energy level.''

While reading this quote, you can see the words: don't get my naps, cranky, unfocused, end of a week, short nights and bring back my energy level. Based on those words, we can assume that Wilde means that if it is the end of the week and he would only be allowed a short amount of sleep during the night, he will be cranky and unfocused if he did not nap. Napping for him would bring back his energy level because he won't be tired anymore.
If you watched the video, you will understand that napping is amazing.

Napping will improve your productivity, increase your cognitive function, enhanced memory and you'll be less tired. Of course, if you nap for too long, it can actually harm you. If you nap for too long, you might disrupt your sleep schedule. You might be trying to fall asleep longer than you would normally be.

Me

For me, my sleep schedule is already messed up so, and can't get any worse. I have like 3 to 4 hours of sleep during school nights and around 12-15 hours of sleep during the weekends. Of course it is my fault that I don't have enough sleep. However, I take a nap every day I come back from school, but my naps aren't efficient. My naps last way too long and not in the right environment. They last around 3 hours because I wake up every 10 minutes. It is what they call a cat nap.  Also, I'm not even on a bed! I'm sleeping on a office chair.

Of course, for me, napping for too long won't affect me, since I'm always tired whether it be 3 hours of sleep or 15 hours. As long as I'm bored, I can basically sleep in any situation, whether it be in the daylight or when it is loud.
Bruh
Sleeping at the right time will make it easier to wake up in the morning!? Who knew?
The reason people sleep is because they are tired during. So, it makes sense right!? If you sleep at the right time, you will not feel tired later in the day because you slept at the right time.

Even though it may be only ''10'' minutes of sleep, any sleep is important. Make sure that the position that you sleep in is ideal and comfortable. If you ever feel tired and have things to do later, just take a nap. You will find out that you will feel much better than if you did not take a nap.
